BARDIA NATIONAL PARK 4 nights/5days (Camping) Bardia national park is a place of pristine forest and wildlife out of the tourist track. The inhabitants of the Nepalese jungle: The royal Bengal tiger, the Asiatic Elephant, the one-horned rhinoceros, among others (deers, crocodiles, monkeys, birds…), which you may discover during jeep, floating or even walking safaris. Bardia is located 600km west of Katmandu in the heart of the Teraï plain which is inhabited by the Tharu ethnical group. They are warm and welcoming people with a very vivid, and complex culture close to nature. They are happy in advance to meet you.
Day 2: Jeep Safari After an early breakfast, you will go to the national park in a jeep. This is a good excursion to discover the geography of the park and the different ecosystems. In some areas, we can get down from the car and go for a small walk. Dinner and night in the resort.
After breakfast, we drive one hour to Chisapani, over the Karnali Bridge where we have a typical lunch (with local fish) in typical restaurant. After lunch we begin the floating safari (on raft). There are no big rapids on the river and this excursion offers good opportunities for magnificent landscapes and birdlife among other animals. In the evening, we pitch the tents on a sandy beach (just across the river, outside NP) and we go in a very remote and authentic Tharu village for cultural dances and diner (A big must of the Bardia trip). After the program we go back to the tents where a big wood fire awaits us. Night in tents
Day 4: Jungle walk (full day) After an early picnic breakfast, we will cross the river and go on foot in the national park for the day with a naturalist guide and a porter. There are good possibilities to see one-horned rhino, wild Asian elephants or Bengal tiger among other animals. Picnic lunch, dinner and night in the resort.
Day 1: Arrival in Takurdwara (Bardia Np) and check in at the hotel/resort.
After lunch, village visit. You will visit the temple area, the Bazar and you will enter in a real typical tharu house and see the local life.
Day 2: Jeep ride
After an early breakfast, you will go to the national park in a jeep. This is a good excursion to discover the geography of the park and the different ecosystems. In some areas, we can go down the car for small walks.
After lunch, in the afternoon you will go on a jeep ride. Explore the vast area, is also a way to observe the wildlife. You can cover the big area, stop the jeep and walk to the animal possibilities area as well as see the various types of forests and natural beauty and scenery.
Day 3: Floating safari
