The Everest-Gokyo Lake-Renjo La Pass Trek is one of the most amazing treks in the Everest region and offers you an incredible view of the Himalayas, glaciers, and beautiful valleys. Tour Package Overview

Ascent/Descent : 1490m ascent 230m descent Kms : 50km flight 8km walk Duration : 45 min flight 4 hrs walk

We fly with a small twin-engine unit to Lukla (2840 m) for 45 minutes, we start the trek with a descent to Ghat (2490 m) in the valley of the Dudh Kosi (Milk River). Then we continue to Phakding (2610 meters) our first night place. Hiking hours: 4

Ascent/Descent : 830m ascent Kms : 11km Duration : 6hrs

A tough day awaits us. In total, about 900 meters up to Namche Bazar. At Monjo we enter the Sagarmatha National Park. We see Thamserku (6,608 meters) towering high above us. Following the Dudh Kosi for the fifth, and now last time, to be crossed, we get a tough final climb high above the river to Namche Bazaar. With clear vision in the distance we can see Mount Everest and Lhotse. We stay in a comfortable lodge in Namche Bazaar (3420 meters). If we just go up in the direction of the military camp and go just around the corner we can see Everest and the Ama Dablam. Namche Bazaar is a real commercial city, on every Saturdays there lies the local market and people all around visit it gladly. Hiking hours:6

We stay a night here for acclimatization, we make a short hike with views of Lhotse, Ama Dablam and the Everest. We just go around the corner in the direction of Kenjoma (3500m) via Khumjung where we have a lunch and acclimatize. Hiking hours: 4/5

Ascent/Descent : 240m ascent Kms : 5.7km Duration : 6hrs

For the first 1.5 hour, it is a gradual walk up to KyangJuma. We will see the spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Amadablam, Thamsherku, Lotse and Kangtega. We stop for a small tea break in Kyanjuma and view a breathtaking mountain views. After that we continue climbing another 1 and half hour to Mongla Danda (3840m). Here we stop for a lunch. We then walk steep decent to Phortse Drengka. Spent overnight here, close to the Gokyo river. Hiking hour: 4

Ascent/Descent : 790m ascent Kms : 6km Duration : 4/5hrs

The walk is short and easy today, but due to the altitude some people may take a lot longer. We will see beautiful mountain views of Cho Oyu 8210m, and the Taboche and Cholatse are seen on the other side of the valley. Machermo is a small settlement, this place has officially Machermo Porter shelter/Rescue post. Hiking hours:4/5

Ascent/Descent : 320m Ascent Kms : 7km Duration : 4/5hrs

We walk towards the holy lake, Gokyo. The trail is very scenic until Pangka then descends slowing. It offers beautiful views of ice face of Cholaste and the walk is gradual until you reach the first of holy lakes. The path to second lake is quite flat through the Cho la glacier. The third lake also known as Dudh Pokhari and on its east side is the summer settlement of Gokyo. The scenery is magnificent and mesmerizing. Mountain Cho Oyo and Gyachung Kang reflects in the emerglad green water. Hiking hours: 4/5

Hike to Gokyo Ri 5350m for panoramic Himalayan views such as Mt. Everest 8848m, Mt Lhotse 8516m, Mt, Mt. Makalu 8463m , Mt.Cho Oyu 8201m, Mt. Kangchung 6063m, Mt. Amadablam 6856m, Mt. Thamserku 6723m, Mt. Kantega 6685m, Mt.Kusum Khagaru 6367m,Mt.Kongde 6011m, Mt.Twache peak 6367m, Mt. Cholaste 6335m, back to Gokyo, lunch at Gokyo lake. Hiking hours:5

Ascent/Descent : 570m ascent 980m decent Kms : 10km Duration : 6/7hrs

It is a gradual uphill over the lush grassy area. The slope progressively becomes steeper and head to the top. The trek gets challenging as it is quite steep. From the top, we view the stunning panorama of Rolwaling, Tengi Ragi Tau Mountains and small Rermo Pokhari Lake to the west and Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Gyachung Kang and Gokyo lakes to the east. After Dudh Pokhari, it is downhill through the beautiful meadow towards the Bhote Koshi Valley. It will come across yak caravans coming from Tibet heading towards Lungdeng. Hiking hours: 6/7

Thame is situated at 3800m, we also visit the historic Thame monastery and experience spiritual Buddhist practices. We do also witness the lovely culture of Sherpa people, living in Thame. Hiking hours:4/5

Thame is a small Sherpa habitant village close to the Tibet border. This was the ancient trading route with Tibet. Thame is well known for the Everest climbers. Ang Rita Sherpa and Apa Sherpa hails from Thame. Here is a Thame Dechen Chokhorling monastery to visit, constructed towards the hills. This trek gives you the picture off the unique culture and traditional life style of Sherpa people. They are Tibetan origin, migrated from south Himalayans many years back and are renowned for their strength and mountain climbing guide. Throughout this trail, you can enjoy the stunning views of the world’s tallest mountains, Everest, Lho Tse, Nupse, Ama Dablam, Thamsherku and all the beautiful peaks around the Himalayan villages.

We will continue our trek down the Sherpa villages of Thame, leaving the mountains in the backdrop. We will walk down to the village of Namche bazaar, epitome of Sherpa culture. Hiking hours: 7

Ascent/Descent : 830m descent Kms : 11km Duration : 5/6hrs

It is steep downhill for 1 hour and gradual walk towards Phakding. The clear mountain views are seen going downhill. Hiking hours: 5/6

Ascent/Descent : 230m ascent Kms : 8km Duration : 3/4hrs

Today the walk is again gradual up hill and downhill. Hiking hours: 3/4

Fly to Kathmandu


We provide bagpacks, crampons, and maps. Price Includes: Guide, assistants, 3 meals per day, afternoon tea & snacks, accommodation for the duration of the trek(2 persons per room).

However, during high season one room per two clients may not be always available. If this should happen we request our clients to be flexible and share a triple or room with four beds. Everest Park entry and TIMS fees, staff insurance, transport to and from the trailhead, two nights' accommodation pre and post the trek in Pokhara and can supply 75 liters backpack for the main trekking stuff, light crampons, gaiters and trekking map.

Assistant - (maximum weight to carry is 10 kg for female assistant guide and 13 kg for male assistant guide).
