Muldai trek is in Annapurna Conservation Area in Pokhara. This trek is remarkable and will experience the beautiful and stunning sunrise. The Muldai view point is the highlight of this trip. This trek offers the hidden lake which is newly introduced to the trekkers, the route is not busier. The Lake has become the center of attraction and popular for hikers for the magnificent view of Annapurna range, Rhododendron forest (during spring) and wild bird spices. An early climb to the summit of Poon Hill (3030m) to watch the sunrise across a magnificent Himalayan panorama. After breakfast, we walk the trail from Ghorepani – Dobato is pleasant and stunning views of two ranges along the ridge slightly higher than Poon hill through Rhododendron, Pine, and Birch forest reaching a basic tea shop with glorious mountains from Dhaulagiri, Annapurna range to Machhapuchhre. From Deurali Pass (3050m), the trail turns to the left toward the Northeast and climb uphill steeply to the grassy hill we reach a very nice viewpoint for sunrise called Muldai hill (3600m) and just 20m drop to Dobato where we sleep overnight which also a very scenic. Same as Ghorepani – Poon Hill, 40minutes hurridly climb to Muldai Hill for sunrise, the view is more magnificent than Poon Hill. After Sunrise and breakfast, we leave for Pode Hill. In the beginning, trail descent slowly through Rhododendron and Pine forest reaching Yak Pasture walking 30 – 45minutes trail climbs through a grassy slope with rocky rubble above treeline as we ascend more steep and strenuous. Eventually, we reach Pode Hill (4000m). Pode Hill is a lush pasture right in front of Mt. Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Local people graze yaks and sheep during the monsoon. From the north, the Pode Hill is surrounded by black hills and white mountains, and holy Lakes to the South of Pode Hill spectacular scenery of river valleys, villages, and waterfalls. It is a beautiful and breathtaking place. Hiking hours: 4-5
Enjoying sunrise and breakfast, walk forward to the destiny of a spiritual Hidden Lake leaving our backpack at the hotel. Hidden Lake is a sacred spot for the local people. During the Janai Purnima festival (Sacred thread Hindu festival) in July-August, the locals sacrifice many sheep in honor of the Hidden Lake. Locals believe strongly that after the sacrifice their wishes will be fulfilled by the grace of the Holy Lake. Besides spirituality can experience high altitude and can enjoy scenic surrounding taking our time as per weather permits. Then we can back to the hotel, have lunch then head back down to Dobato to spend the night. Hiking hours: 7
It is recommended to wake up early at 5am, for sunrise and leave for the viewpoint which takes about 30minutes. After sunrise, we walk back to the hotel and can enjoy breakfast to leave for Tadapani. On the way, we may see monkeys, the Langur, and passes by rhododendron trees. The majestic view of Mountains Fishtail, Machhapuchhare, Annapurna South, Himchuli is visible. After a lunch break in Tadapani, we walk further to Ghandruk (2170m) the popular tourist destination. From here we have fantastic views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare. It is a major settlement of the Gurung, an ethnic group of Nepal. It is a very famous Gurung village with terraces and offers excellent mountain views. After arriving, it is possible to take a short walk to explore the village, visiting a cultural museum and monastery. Ghandruk is a model village of ACAP short walk of 3hours will allow you to explore the cultural and beautiful old traditional village. Hiking hours: 7
We provide bagpacks, crampons, and maps. Price Includes: Guide, assistants, 3 meals per day, afternoon tea & snacks, accommodation for the duration of the trek(2 persons per room).
However, during high season one room per two clients may not be always available. If this should happen we request our clients to be flexible and share a triple or room with four beds. Annapurna Park entry and TIMS fees, staff insurance, transport to and from the trailhead, two nights' accommodation pre and post the trek in Pokhara and can supply 75 liters backpack for the main trekking stuff, light crampons, gaiters and trekking map.
