Sacred lakes and remote villages enter into the spectacular living geology of the Langtang region with its sacred lakes and remote villages. Stunning glacial valleys and breathtaking snowy white peaks of Mt Langtang and Ganash Himal range await you along this 7-10 day adventure. The trail ascends through lush oak and rhododendron forests. You will stay in the charming villages of Langtang (3,300m) and Kyangjin (3,700m). Kyangjin has a monastery and a cheese factory with delicious yoghurt. It is possible to make several side treks from these villages. Depending on your time you can combine this adventure with the Gosainkund Lake (4,380m) and Helambu trek to have a full two week trek.

Ascent/Descent : 160m Ascent Kms : 133 kms drive Duration : 8-10 hrs drive

On our first day, we take a bus from Kathmandu in the early morning in direction of Syabrubesi. The drive from Trisuli is on a very dusty road. We therefore recommend taking a mask to avoid breathing the dusty air.

Ascent/Descent : 880m Ascent Kms : 11 km walk Duration : 6-7 hrs walk

We begin our walk through the old Syabru village, then walk uphill all the way to the Lama Hotel. A lunch break will be taken on the way, in Bamboo.

Ascent/Descent : 990m Ascent Kms : 7 kms walk Duration : 6-7 hrs walk

Today starts with a gradual uphill walk through the rhododendron forest all the way to Ghora Tabela. Depending on the walking pace of the group we either stop in Ghora Tabela or in Thansap for lunch, before continuing our gradual uphill walk to Langtang village (3330m). Langtang village is the biggest village in the Langtang National Park.

Today starts with a gradual uphill walk through the rhododendron forest all the way to Ghora Tabela. Depending on the walking pace of the group we either stop in Ghora Tabela or in Thansap for lunch, before continuing our gradual uphill walk to Langtang village (3330m). Langtang village is the biggest village in the Langtang Conservation Area.

We spend the day in Kyanjing Gompa, which offers magnificent mountain views. A local cheese factory is available for visit. Kyanjing Gompa also offers a few enjoyable one-day hike

On our 6th day, we head downhill to Ghora Tabela, using the same trail as we did when walking up.

We continue walking downhill through the forest to Pyaro, our lunch break venue. After lunch we walk uphill to Thulo Syabru.

Ascent/Descent : 1140m Ascent Kms : 9 kms walk Duration : 5-6 hrs walk

Today’s destination is Singh Gompa. A 5 to 6 hours uphill walk through the forest gets us there. Manaslu peak is visible from Singh Gompa.

Ascent/Descent : 550m Ascent Kms : 6 kms walk Duration : 5-6 hrs walk

We start today’s walk by taking a gradual trail up to Cholangpati. From there, we walk uphill to Lauri bina where we have lunch. Lauri bina offers views on Langtang II, Langtang Liru, Tibet and Ganesh himal.

A one hour uphill walk followed by a gradual trail take us to Gosaikund. We have lunch in Gosainkund and after lunch can walk around Gosainkund lake.

Ascent/Descent : 2350m Descent Kms : 20 kms walk Duration : 7-8 hrs walk

Our last walking day, a steep downhill trail awaits us to get to Gholangpati. The next trail from Gholangpati to Singh Gompa is more gradual. Lunch in Singh Gompa starts further downhill through the forest. The trail becomes gradual as we approach Dhunche where we have our last evening dinner all together.

In the early morning, a bus takes us back to Kathmandu.


We provide bagpacks, crampons, and maps. Price Includes: Guide, assistants, 3 meals per day, afternoon tea & snacks, accommodation for the duration of the trek(2 persons per room).

However, during high season one room per two clients may not be always available. If this should happen we request our clients to be flexible and share a triple or room with four beds. Annapurna Park entry and TIMS fees, staff insurance, transport to and from the trailhead, and can supply 75 liters backpack for the main trekking stuff, light crampons, gaiters and trekking map.

Assistant - (maximum weight to carry is 10 kg for female assistant guide and 13 kg for male assistant guide).

Doesn't include: Soft beverages, air tickets & client insurance.
