I have facilitated two design summits with Engineers Without Borders in Nepal. On each occasion we have partnered with Three Sisters to deliver the summit. Three Sisters staff worked closely with us throughout the summits, providing logistical assistance in Kathmandu and Pokhara when we are running workshops with the students, and arranging multi-day homestay experiences in several communities within 2 hours drive of Pokhara. In the communities, a core member of the Three Sisters’ team plus three of their field guides accompany the group to act as cultural and language translators. The experience working with Three Sisters has been exceptional. Their team and staff are responsive and great communicators and go above and beyond expectations – assisting in every manner. This includes all things, big and small. Some examples include: Daily check-ins to discuss logistics and rolling requirements and always on hand nearby to assist with… anything! Providing local advice on where to obtain supplies in the cities Seamless arrangement of transport (buses) that meet safety requirements (seatbelts, safe drivers) Communicating with hotel staff to arrange meeting rooms and meals Arranging community homestays to ensure students have a safe and fun experience, adjusting schedules where required, and helping to set up interviews and meetings. The community homestays have been beautiful experiences. The communities were well-prepared by Three Sisters to provide our groups with a safe and culturally rich experience. Our groups learn so much about the way of life in the communities – how they grow food, how they cook, the social and family dynamics, the humour, the hopes, the challenges,… and all against the backdrop of the beautiful Annapurna ranges. The communities have been welcoming and engaged and the cultural exchange is as rewarding for our hosts as it is for our student groups. Finally, I have personally really enjoyed working closely with Three Sisters staff. Nicky, Dicky, Lucky, Bijen, Bijaya, Rabi,...and their amazing field guides! I love learning more about their lives and paths each summit. They are people of heart and after journeying with them for two weeks I leave Nepal feeling full, rich, inspired and I can’t wait to return!
We choose to cooperate with 3sisters as their philosophy of women empowerment trough tourism and education suits perfectly to ours. On the tours the tourists and local women they have the chance to talk together and exchange experience. It’s amazing and almost unique that 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking can provide female guides and sherpas and even female run accommodations on the trekking itineraries. All this only because of their projects and commitments for women empowerment. It feels always very secure and with a warm hospitality. We appreciate their strong sense of professionalism and their perfect services. For us as a big company –the biggest in Europe for Womentravels - it is a requirement that we can trust our partner. So far we only had great experience with 3 Sistsers. We are happy to say that there was never a complication or a complaint. We can highly recommend 3Sisters to all who want to trek with a company that combines a social mission with a professional approach. Feel free to contact us in case you'd like to receive more information about our business experiences.
It is with great honor and pleasure to write this recommendation letter for 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking, as an organization with superb professionalism, customer-care, and reliability. Principia College has been in partnership with 3 Sisters for study abroad programming for over 20 years, and I can attest to our sustained satisfaction with their high-quality work and services. The 3 Sisters’ demonstrated knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to sound economic, social, and environmental practices through adventure tourism, brings a level of confidence to our continued working relationship. The programming and adventure trekking that they have facilitated over the years, on our behalf, has been consistently vibrant, well-executed, and impactful. Our students and staff come away with a deepened appreciation for and understanding of the Himalayan region, Nepalese culture, and a meaningful relationship with the 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking organization. Their Organization is committed to breaking-down social barriers while providing exceptional adventure trekking experiences through well trained and professional staff, focused on the safety and well-being of their clients. My experience and interactions with 3 Sisters staff have been in the form of a program participant, staff member, and administrator, and have all been positive and professional: with timely response and appropriate follow-through. I firmly believe that any educational institution will benefit from partnering with 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking.
We're so happy to be working with Nicky and her team at Three Sisters Nepal. They literally took care of us like we were family. While they have many people working in the background, I would like to highlight the support provided by Nicky, Rabindra and Bijen - they not only ensured that we were safe in Nepal, but also enabled us to have enriching experiences that only a local can highlight for us - whether it is a really special local food spot or an inspiring non-profit that our students can learn a lot from. Our group had mostly undergraduate girls from the US, so Bijen and Rabindra took extra care to ensure that they were safe and comfortable throughout our program. We would highly recommend Three Sisters for any programs in Nepal! Ravi Raj Co-Founder and CEO, Authentica
